Ukraine’s air force shoots down seven out of eight Russian drones

The Ukrainian air force announced on Thursday that its air defence systems had shot down seven out of eight Russian-launched Shahed drones overnight.

According to the air force, drones were downed in three regions in the central and southern regions. It was not clear whether the drone that was not shot down reached its intended destination.

Overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that it was able to thwart a Ukrainian drone attack over Moscow-occupied Crimea. Ukraine did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
