Türkiye ADVENT system: Turkish defence electronics company HAVELSAN has sent its ADVENT Combat Management System to Romania for the first time in a NATO country. The system went to the Romanian Naval Forces together with the CAm.ROMAN corvette, under the deal between the two sides. This makes Romania the first NATO member state to get ADVENT in its naval inventory. Before this, the system had already been delivered to Pakistan, Indonesia, Ukraine, Qatar, Oman, Nigeria, Malaysia and Chile.
HAVELSAN said the Romania version was adjusted from the one used by the Turkish Navy. The company said the system can be changed to fit different users because its setup is modular.

What can ADVENT do?
ADVENT was built with the Turkish Naval Forces Command. It does not work like an old single-ship system. Instead, it connects many platforms and gives them one shared picture of what is happening. That means commanders can look at the same information at the same time and act faster. The system handles threat checking, decision support, target detection, and control of weapons and sensors. Its ADVENT ROTA part also helps manage unmanned naval platforms.
The system can also work with allied forces through different communication protocols. HAVELSAN says it can be installed on many kinds of platforms, from small boats and large warships to land command centers. That makes it useful for both sea and shore operations.
AI Plans
HAVELSAN is now working on a new version called “ADVENT AI”. This version adds artificial intelligence features to the system. The company is also preparing different versions for more countries in the future.

The Romania delivery has also helped open doors for other Turkish defence products. These include the YELKOVAN Electronic Warfare System, made with TUBITAK, and the TARGAN 12.7 mm automatic stabilized weapon system, made with UNIROBOTICS. The company expects the ADVENT platform to draw more attention at the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum in Ankara, which NATO says will be held on July 7, 2026 as part of the 2026 NATO Summit.
