The vehicles will not come all at once. They will be sent to the army in stages starting from 2028. The new fighting vehicles are based on the Terrex s5. This is the newest model in the Terrex family. It is an 8×8 armoured vehicle made to work well on many types of land. The Terrex s5 is built around five main ideas which are Smartness, Superiority, Sustainability, Survivability and Serviceability.
What Makes the Terrex s5 Special?
The Terrex s5 comes from a long line of Terrex vehicles that have already been tested and used before. This new version has more digital systems to help soldiers see what is happening around them. It uses a cyber-secure Generic Vehicle Architecture to protect its systems from digital threats. The vehicle also has advanced electronics and stronger firepower to deal with modern combat situations.
The company will work closely with the Ministry of Defence and the Defence Science and Technology Agency. This teamwork helps make sure the vehicles meet real needs and can change as future threats change. There was also a visual shown with the announcement marked as “dei 300 x 600,” which appears to be a display or image size note used during the release.
