“France and Sweden are the global leaders in the military sector; this should be kept in mind while analysing the geopolitical environment. We thus aim to be in a position to negotiate formal agreements on collaboration in this field.”

Ulf Kristersson, the prime minister of Sweden, and President Macron underlined the significance of their nations’ defence cooperation in a joint piece published in the newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Les Echos.

Sweden and France are taking proactive measures to fortify our defence ties in response to the resurgence of challenges on the European continent. The two wrote, “both through our countries’ robust defence industries and by quickly allying with NATO.”

Leaders from the French defence companies Airbus and MBDA, as well as executives from major Swedish corporations including Ericsson, Vattenfall, and Ikea, are anticipated to attend the conference.
