NATO Cyber Defense: Mart Noorma, head of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, stated today that China’s army of hackers is a component of the nation’s information warfare machinery and that their goal is to obtain information that is being withheld from them. Dr. Noorma continued, “We continue to look at all nations,” if cybercrime is North Korea’s main export.
However, he added that, aside from China and North Korea, the main concerns were Russia and Iran. According to Times now news, the Center collaborates with Brazil, Chile, Moldova, and Singapore. When asked about India’s involvement, he responded that it would be “heartily welcomed” if New Delhi decides to join.

Except the 32 NATO nations, the Center, which has its headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia, is home to thirty-nine nations. Its members include Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, South Korea, Japan, Austria, and Australia. The Center’s duties include detecting, defending against, and responding to cyberattacks.
Apart from nation governments like China, he continued, the main causes of disruption in the cyberspace are hackers, hacktivists, terrorists, thrill-seekers, and some others. Additionally, practicing cyber hygiene was one method of making things tough for cyber attackers. Cyber hygiene rules can be broken by using pirated software or clicking on “weird” links.
