Airbus-Ghana Helicopters Contract: Airbus Helicopters has come back to Ghana after signing a new deal with the country’s Ministry of Defence. Under this agreement, Ghana will receive four helicopters for both military work and official transport use. This will start a new partnernship between airbus and Ghana.
Ghana will receive two H175M helicopters that will help the military and emergency teams. They will carry soldiers and supplies and help during rescues, medical help, and disasters. Ghana will also get one ACH175 and one ACH160, mainly for official travel and transport.
Airbus Long-Term Partnership
Arnaud Montalvo, head of Africa and the Middle East at Airbus Helicopters, spoke about the importance of this deal. He said the order shows a strong focus on future partnership and customer care in Ghana. He explained that the H175M will prove how flexible the helicopter is for defence and security work. He also said the ACH160 and ACH175 will place Ghana among the top West African users of Airbus’ premium corporate helicopters.
Modern Helicopters for Security
The H175 helicopter first entered service in 2014 and belongs to the super-medium class. It is built to fly long distances while carrying heavy loads and staying stable in the air. Around the world, this model is used for offshore work, rescue missions, public services, disaster relief, and private flying.
The ACH160 is the newest corporate helicopter from Airbus. It includes 68 patented technologies and is described as the most advanced helicopter in its class. Airbus says it gives about 20% more cabin space per passenger than older models. It also has much larger windows, which bring in more light and make rides more comfortable.
