Relief Centres Established: On Tuesday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) delivered supplies to Tamil Nadu areas affected by cyclones. According to the IAF, relief supplies were dropped near Chennai Harbour and in the general Adyar region.

According to authorities on Tuesday, at least eight people have perished in Tamil Nadu as a result of the powerful cyclonic storm Michaung, which has also caused flooding in Chennai and other major cities in the state’s metro system.

According to the IAF, two helicopters dispatched in the evening carried food packages and rations for people trapped in Chennai’s cyclone-affected areas that were water-cut off.

Additional sorties will be conducted, IAF officials in New Delhi announced, to disperse relief supplies in other cyclone-affected districts.

The Air Force Station, Tambaram, and the Tamil Nadu State Government are being closely consulted during the entire operation.

According to the authorities, old people, children, and pregnant women were saved from the danger zones, and families were evacuated from the impacted areas.

IAF Chetak helicopters have been sent out for flood relief operations, according to IAF authorities. Currently, the state is home to at least 162 relief centres, 43 of which are located in Chennai.

In the meantime, flight operations at Chennai airport have resumed after being halted on Monday because of the cyclone’s effects.
