Paras Defence Partnership with Northstar: Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited, also called “PARAS”, has made a new deal with Northstar, a US aviation company, to bring advanced air-to-air refueling systems and support services for the Indian Armed Forces. Reports on April 16 to April 18, 2026, said the agreement is with Bandak Aviation Inc. DBA Northstar, USA. The main goal is to give India better refueling technology for military aircraft so planes can stay in the air longer and fly much farther during missions.

This is important because air-to-air refueling helps fighter jets and other military aircraft keep going without landing again and again. That gives the armed forces more time in the sky and more freedom during difficult operations. The partnership is meant to support India’s defence modernization plans and also fit with the country’s push to build stronger capabilities at home with help from useful global technology partnerships.

What Northstar Will Bring?

Northstar is known in the defence and aviation world for making and improving aerial refueling systems. The company works on design, development, manufacturing, and upgrades of these systems. It also has experience working with defence groups in different parts of the world and offers refueling solutions for many kinds of airborne platforms. Because of that, PARAS is looking at this tie-up as a way to bring tested and trusted technology into India.

The agreement is not only about supplying the refueling systems. It also covers accessories and long-term support. That means the work will include maintenance, upgrades, and technical help so the systems can keep working well over time. This kind of support is a big part of the deal because defence equipment is not useful only at the time of delivery. It must keep performing properly for years. This full support setup is expected to help the Indian Armed Forces stay ready and get better results in real missions.

How PARAS Sees the Partnership?

Paras Defence has said this agreement is part of its wider effort to help India strengthen its defence power. The company sees advanced aerial refueling systems as very important in modern warfare.

The company also appears to be using this partnership to grow its place in aerospace and defence even more. PARAS is already known for work in optics, defence electronics, and heavy engineering systems. By mixing its own engineering and manufacturing strength with Northstar’s refueling technology, it wants to support the changing needs of India’s defence sector in a stronger way.
