BEL Rs 1,640 crore deal: Radar system built in India
These high-tech radar systems were designed by DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) and BEL is the one making them. The radars are fully made in India and are built to handle different kinds of battle conditions. These systems are made to work all the time day and night and in all types of weather, even when it’s raining or foggy.
They can search the skies, find enemy aircraft, track them, and then help control the guns that will fire back. This means the Army will be able to respond quickly and accurately to any air threats like fighter planes, helicopters, or drones.
These radars also come with special technology called ECM, which stands for Electronic Counter Measures, reported Money controle. This helps the system to still work properly even when the enemy is trying to block or jam the signals. The radars are built using a modular style. That means they are easy to move, set up, use, and fix when needed, which is really helpful for the Army when they are in changing field conditions.
BEL shares fall again
This radar system will give the Indian Army strong protection against air attacks. It can be used for what’s called point defence, which means guarding a specific place or area. It will work even if the enemy tries to interfere with the radar using jamming equipment. It can protect during the day and night and during good or bad weather.
