Company’s Defence Role

The main reason behind the stock rally is that Apollo Micro Systems received two important Transfer of Technology approvals from the Defence Research and Development Organisation. These approvals allow the company to work with advanced Directed Energy Weapon technology developed in India.

One of the approvals covers a Multi-Channel 10 kW Laser Directed Energy Weapon system created by DRDO-CHESS in Hyderabad. The second approval is for an Electro-Optical Tracking System with special sensors developed by DRDO-IRDE in Dehradun. These systems help in accurate tracking and targeting during modern warfare.

Directed Energy Weapon systems use powerful lasers instead of bullets or missiles. These lasers can hit targets like drones, missiles, and small vehicles very fast and with high accuracy. By using this technology, Apollo Micro Systems can help India reduce its need for foreign defence equipment and support local defence production.
